K-Sorb® Universal Particulate Absorbents highly absorbent cellulose used to absorb and
control liquid spills in industrial settings. It is manufactured from recycled cellulose fiber and is non-selective (universal) in what it absorbs.
K-Sorb® is a non-carcinogenic, low dust alternative to clay based absorbents and diatomite. K-Sorb® Universal Particulate is available in 22 lb. and 10 lb. bags. Highly Absorbent K-Sorb® Particulate can absorb 5 times its weight in liquid, making
it 500% more absorbent than clay absorbents. This means that for a 13 gallon spill, it would only require one 22 lb. bag of K-Sorb to do the job of 110 lbs. of clay.
K-Sorb’s high wicking action quickly lifts liquids into its hollow fiber cavities, which expand until they have absorbed many times their original weight. Lightweight and
super absorbent, K-Sorb® Particulate can reduce inbound transportation costs and material handling by 80% (versus clay) while reducing disposal costs 40%.
Sludge Stabilization/Liquid Waste Solidification Due to the superior absorbency
of K-Sorb® Particulate, it is an excellent choice for solidifying liquids and stabilizing sludge. Product and labor requirement are reduced as much as 80% (over clay),
and the amount of costly waste requiring disposal is reduced up to 40%. Disposable As Fuel K-Sorb® Universal Particulate has high heat content (8,484 btu/lb.),
can be liquefied, and qualifies under RCRA for cost-effective and permanent disposal as fuel through incineration. Inorganic absorbent such as clay and fly ash do not, making their
disposal means more limited and costly than those of K-Sorb. |
